illiterate-twat-deactivated2013 asked: A. I like your blog a lot. B. When people say colleges look at "GPA", do they mean a GPA of allll your high school years combined & averaged? Or just an overview of each year's GPA? because my first two years of HS sucked, but now that I'm changing schools I should be able to get a much higher GPA and am afraid my overall GPA will be terrible because of the first two years asdfghjkl HELP

A. Thank you! I appreciate it!

B. This depends on each college. Your overall GPA is an average of all 4 years. But most college get your full transcript and they see your improvements and the different types of classes you’ve take (honors, AP, etc) so based on the school, they will keep that in mind.

Hope I helped!

Anonymous asked: I'm not very good at any sports but I knowing colleges want people to have a good amount of extra curricular activities. Do you have any fun club ideas that I could join, or a sport where you don't really have to be good at it to play it? Thanks!

Just join a club that interests you.

And remember that when it comes to extracurricular, it’s quality over quantity. Colleges would rather see you have 2 or 3 clubs (or even one) that you are super dedicated to rather than 6 clubs that you are just in.

And in college when you start doing interviews for internships, it’s the same thing, if you have 2 clubs that you can tell a story about, that is better than them asking you about a club on your resume and you can’t talk about it because you don’t do anything in it.

Anonymous asked: hey :) I'm only year 10 (14 years) but I am really worried about my future, grades and job etc.. and I try hard in school and whatnot, but I just need to know is there ANYTHING else I can do? like, to secure a good future? thanks heaps :)

Make sure that you have fun too, because trust me it’s not good to me stressed about the future. I was just like that too, and as long as you’re good in school, are passionate about clubs, there is really nothing you can do. You just have to hope that all your efforts are going to be paid off when a school looks at your application and thinks you’re awesome.

Because if you’re anxious you’re too busy living in the future, when you need to be at peace, living in the present.

Anonymous asked: How and for how long did you study for the ACT?

So after I took it the first time (without studying) i figured it’s 2942984394629841 times better than the SAT and so i got a ton (3) ACT books with practice tests in them (at least 10) and I learned the techniques from each book, and at the end of every section should be a little practice and then i moved on to the real tests, at first i didnt time myself but after the 5 test i did and that’s the most important thing because that’s when you get adjusted to how the test is in real life.

if you have any more questions, just ask!

Anonymous asked: On the common app for USC, it says to list family members who have gone therere. My cousin went there, but it only has options like sibling. There's no other option. What should I do? List him under sibling & put cousin there? Or don't list?

put him as a sibling.
